The Corrs has made a name of themselves recently by winning a lot of praise in their singing. The Corrs are an Irish quartet composed of three sisters and a brother. Jim, Andrea, Caroline and Sharon Corr formed the band in 1990, and was considered popular in Ireland until 1994, when the American ambassador to the country invited the Corrs to perform at the 1994 world cup in Boston. They blend the modern rock with traditional Irish music and sometimes use synthesizers.
The Corrs grew up in Dundalk, Ireland. Shortly after they formed their quartet, their talent for music was discovered by John Hughes, their future manager, while looking for musicians to take part in one of Alan Parker's films.
They were lucky and signed with Atlantic records, and released their debut in 1995,“ Forgiven Not Forgotten”。 Their hard working led to their success and their first debut sold more than eight million copies in Ireland and Australia, went gold in France, Canada, Norway, and Japan. They also had a chance to play with Ceiline Dion, toured across Europe, Australia and southeast Asia, attended the Odense festival of Denmark in front of 35,000 and at London's Fishbury park with sting and the Chief -tans in front of 50,000. This tour makes them quite well known.
Their sophomore effort, 1997's “Talk On Corners”, adding more melancholy and adventurous tint to their music style.
In early 1999 the Corrs released “talk on corners” special edition, a remixed version of their second album. And their recent album “In Blue”, was released in September 2000.
They have won so many fans worldwide and will do better on their way to success. Let's looking forward to their future success!
